A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong technical or scientific background to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess 3-4 years of patent litigation experience, exceptional analytical and communication skills, and an active membership in the State Bar.

Duties:

• Represent clients in patent litigation matters, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and participating in court proceedings.
• Conduct complex and detailed analyses of legal matters related to patent litigation.
• Collaborate with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff to provide effective legal counsel and support.
• Assist in the development of legal strategies, case management, and trial preparation.

Requirements:

• A strong technical or scientific background.
• For candidates in life sciences, preference is for those with advanced degrees.
• Candidates with technical backgrounds, preference for degrees in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or closely related fields.
• 3-4 years of patent litigation experience.
• Active membership in the State Bar and compliance with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements.
• Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
• Enthusiasm for working within a team-oriented environment and contributing to effective team relationships.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• For candidates in life sciences, advanced degrees (., ., etc.) in relevant fields are preferred.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar.
