A law firm in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a capable Construction Defect Associate Attorney with 1-6 years of experience. The chosen candidate will be integral in managing construction defect cases and providing legal assistance to clients in this specialized field.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis pertinent to construction defect cases.
• Assist in drafting various legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, and settlement agreements.
• Participate actively in case strategy meetings and client consultations.
• Represent clients during mediation sessions, settlement negotiations, and court proceedings.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on case management and strategic planning.
• Review and analyze construction contracts, building codes, and related documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and investigations related to construction defect claims.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders involved in litigation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
• 1-6 years of relevant experience in legal practice, preferably focusing on construction defect litigation.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical abilities.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with construction law and building codes is advantageous.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
