## Tax Senior – Financial Services Industries – Mutual Fund Tax This is an exciting opportunity for a Tax Senior to join the Financial Services Industries practice of Deloitte Tax LLP in the Mutual Fund Tax group. If you have a passion for financial products and understand regulated investment companies, Subchapter M, section 4982 excise calculations, and tax compliance, then this could be the job for you. ### Job Description As a Tax Senior, you will work within an engagement team, providing tax compliance and consulting services to Investment Management clients. You will be responsible for identifying complex tax issues and providing tax analyses for a variety of entities and their affiliates; performing detail-level reviews of tax research, regulated investment company (RIC) tax work papers, financial statement provisions and related tax disclosures and federal and relevant state returns, excise calculations, and RIC compliance tests; providing tax planning; supervising tax consultants; and attending required Deloitte Tax LLP and sector-specific training. ### Qualifications To be qualified for this position, you must have: - Ability to work within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week. - 3+ years’ experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field - Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment - Strong verbal and written communication skills - One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain: - Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA - If not CPA eligible: - Licensed attorney - Enrolled Agent - Certifications: - Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) - Certified Financial Planner (CFP) - Demonstrated basic understanding of Subchapter M, financial products, and book to tax adjustments common to regulated investment companies - Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve Preferred qualifications include: - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM - Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience ### Salary The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63,420 to $144,300.
