A law firm in Roswell is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Lawyer with a passion for helping people. The ideal candidate will handle case files from start to finish, provide legal advice to clients, and manage a team of litigation support staff.
Job Duties:
- Handle personal injury case files from inception to resolution
- Delegate tasks and manage a team of litigation paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, and legal secretaries
- Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather necessary information
- Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients
- Maintain updated status documentation of all case files in the case management system
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Review, modify, and draft various legal documents including motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, claims, and subpoenas
- Stay abreast of updates and changes in personal injury law, tort law, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor (.) degree
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law, tort law, and related legal areas
- Maintain a state license to practice law and membership in the State Bar Association
- Demonstrate superior research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
- Proficient in computer usage
- 3+ years of successful personal injury pre-suit experience
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor (.) degree
- State license to practice law and membership in the State Bar Association
