A law firm in Irvine is seeking an experienced General Municipal Law Attorney with 3+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in areas including General Municipal Law, Code Enforcement, Water Law, and Sanitation District Law. The firm offers a hybrid work arrangement option with an annual telecommute budget to support remote work. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to municipalities, local government agencies, and special districts
  • Draft and review municipal ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other legal documents
  • Advise on land use and zoning regulations, including code enforcement matters
  • Handle litigation matters related to municipal law, including administrative hearings and appeals
  • Negotiate agreements and settlements on behalf of municipal clients
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex municipal law issues
  • Provide guidance on water law and sanitation district matters

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in California
  • 3+ years of experience in General Municipal Law, Code Enforcement, Water Law, and Sanitation District Law
  • Strong understanding of California municipal laws, regulations, and procedures
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience managing a diverse caseload and meeting billable hour targets

 

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in California
