Summary:

Selective Insurance is seeking a Litigation Management Counsel to join their unique and high-performing team. The Litigation Management Counsel will oversee and maintain records and performance expectations for outside counsel, participate in vetting and onboarding new defense firms, and manage the Litigation Management Quality Assurance program. This role can be located at any of Selective's offices or remote for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of litigation experience, private practice experience, and knowledge of property and casualty insurance. Qualification and Experience Minimum of 10 years of active litigation experience, first-chair trial experience preferred, private practice experience preferred, experience with coaching and counseling legal staff preferred, detailed knowledge of property and casualty insurance for all P&C lines of business, excellent customer service skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, organizational and project management skills, ability to demonstrate independent judgment and research, in-house property and casualty experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, knowledge of state laws and court procedures, detailed knowledge of the insurance industry.
