A law firm is seeking a Real Estate Attorney in Charlotte, NC. The Real Estate Attorney will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and commenting on real estate closing documents, conducting title searches, communicating with clients, brokers, and lenders, conducting closing ceremonies, and overseeing all aspects of real estate closings. They must possess effective time management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to analyze complex legal and business documents.

 

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and comment upon real estate closing documents
  • Search and review Title to real property
  • Certify Title to title companies to obtain title insurance policies
  • Communicate with clients, brokers, and lenders
  • Conduct closing ceremonies
  • Assist in staff development and oversight
  • Oversee all aspects of real estate closings
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in South Carolina (North Carolina a plus)
  • Effective time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal and business documents
  • High level of reasoning ability
  • Even temperament
  • Must have a South Carolina License to Practice Law

 

Experience:

  • 0-2 years of experience in the practice of real estate law
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience in the practice of real estate law
