Overview:
The HP Legal team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to support end-user sales transactions in the North America market. This individual will also provide legal expertise for the entire HP Inc. portfolio, including hardware, software, support, and managed services. The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctor and active bar membership, along with 5+ years of relevant legal experience in public sector contracting. Experience with State, Local, and Education customers is preferred but not required. This is a full-time position with no shift premium and minimal travel required.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support for end-user sales transactions in the North America market
- Act as lead attorney for large and complex Managed Services deals
- Advise business teams on legal issues and impact of business decisions
- Draft and negotiate legal contract terms
- Support competitive bids and respond to end-user legal terms
- Identify and resolve complex legal issues
- Lead or assist with contract dispute resolution
- Provide training on legal topics to internal clients
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and processes

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from a nationally recognized law school
- Active bar membership in any of the fifty states or the District of Columbia
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience in public sector contracting
- Experience with State, Local, and Education customers preferred
- Prior negotiation experience in complex transactions
- Subject matter expertise in key legal topics
- Knowledge of industry norms and unique legal and business issues for IT products and services
- Independent judgment, initiative, and self-confidence
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and thrive in change
- Capability to escalate issues effectively to high-level executives
- Growth mindset approach
- Willingness to travel as needed
