Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Advise clients on various tax issues including compliance, business restructuring, and philanthropic planning
- Oversee federal tax compliance and consulting projects
- Manage engagement team and billing
- Provide technical training and guidance for the development of the team

The Team:

- Dedicated team of experienced professionals committed to serving non-profit organizations and donors
- Collaborative approach with other Deloitte teams such as Consulting, Audit & Assurance, and Advisory
- Cross-functional team with tax, audit, and consulting professionals from Deloitte's Global Center for Excellence in Philanthropy

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid model with in-person work 2-3 days per week
- 5+ years of experience in federal taxation with a focus on tax-exempt organizations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
- CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or other relevant certification
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred:

- Advanced degree (Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM)
- Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm
- Strong understanding of federal tax compliance, analysis, and research
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring for tax-exempt organizations
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Management experience
- Strong analytical skills

Salary Range:

The disclosed range estimate for this role is $84,980 to $193,440, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on individual circumstances and it is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range.
