A law firm in Cape Girardeau is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in complex commercial and serious personal injury litigation, including trial experience and exceptional communication skills.

Duties:

• Manage all phases of complex commercial and serious personal injury litigation.
• Conduct fact investigations, legal research, and draft discovery.
• Prepare pleadings and participate in mediation.
• Take and defend depositions, including a preference for prior trial experience (first or second chair).
• Communicate effectively with opposing counsel and clients.
• Appear in court for motions and pre-hearing proceedings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Litigation Attorney.
• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Admission to the Missouri Bar.

Skills:

• Comprehensive experience in complex commercial and serious personal injury litigation.
• Strong trial experience, preferably in first or second chair.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
