Corporate Counsel, Workplace Health & Safety Full-time Corporate Counsel, Workplace Health & Safety – Services LLC Amazon's Operations Legal Department is seeking a talented attorney to join our workplace health and safety legal team. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to support Amazon’s Operations and Worldwide Health & Safety team in developing industry-leading safety solutions for our employees and service providers. The scale and complexity of our worldwide safety and health program is exceptional and rapidly growing. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for counseling our Operations business on a broad range of health and safety regulatory compliance matters and global security matters. This includes developing compliance policies and procedures, providing day-to-day compliance guidance, and resolving issues that arise during regulatory and law enforcement interactions. The successful candidate will have at least five years of legal experience advising on regulatory compliance matters, preferably in workplace health and safety or complex litigation. Key Responsibilities: - Develop compliance policies and procedures for workplace health and safety - Provide day-to-day compliance guidance to health and safety, operations, and security teams - Resolve issues that arise during regulatory and law enforcement interactions, such as inspections and citations - Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory compliance matters - Advise on crisis management and occupational medicine - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and work independently Qualifications: - . and membership in at least one state bar - 5+ years of legal experience in regulatory compliance matters or complex litigation - Experience in warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, or transportation health and safety compliance and crisis management preferred - Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations - Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once - Strong communication and collaboration skills Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay ranges from $123,100/year in our lowest geographic market to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are a total compensation company and may offer additional forms of compensation, such as equity, sign-on payments, and benefits.
