Insurance Tax Manager - United States

The Insurance Tax Manager will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. They will provide tax advice to clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, act as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, and help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties. They will also help clients with their tax structuring while addressing the challenges of the continuously changing tax world.

Responsibilities:
- Develop new skills outside of comfort zone
- Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations
- Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making
- Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties
- Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarizing key points
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of experience in the tax issues affecting the insurance industry
- CPA or Member of the Bar certification preferred
- Thorough knowledge of public accounting practices, internal domestic insurance tax departments, or internal foreign insurance departments
- Comprehensive technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance
- Experience as a team leader, supervising teams and providing timely feedback
- Familiarity with a CRM system preferred
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment
- Understanding of alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies
