# Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Licking County

The Organization of Licking County is looking for a full-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney to join their Juvenile Division. The ideal candidate should be a licensed lawyer in the State of Ohio and have the ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, Westlaw and Windows based programs. Additionally, they should be willing and eager to work with Children’s Services and Law Enforcement with arrests, search warrants, delinquency, abuse, neglect and dependency cases.

## Job Description

The Assistant Prosecuting Attorney will be responsible for:

- Representing the Licking County Prosecutor’s Office in court proceedings related to juvenile delinquency, abuse, neglect and dependency cases
- Working with Children’s Services and Law Enforcement to investigate and prosecute juvenile delinquency, abuse, neglect and dependency cases
- Researching and preparing legal documents for court hearings
- Keeping up to date with changes in the law and court practices
- Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

## Qualifications

- Must be admitted to practice in the State of Ohio
- Must be familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, Westlaw and Windows based programs
- Ability to work with Children’s Services and Law Enforcement
- Ability to research and prepare legal documents
- Ability to keep up to date with changes in the law and court practices
- Professionalism and confidentiality
