Atlanta office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a real estate associate attorney with 3 years of relevant professional experience as a Real Estate Attorney in a law firm or in an in-house corporate legal department. The candidate will oversee, prepare and organize documents for real estate closings, ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete and accurate. Will prepare and audit loan files promptly and review signed settlement documents for accuracy. Able to facilitate 25 + real estate and loan closings a month. Approve title options from paralegals. Communicate with clients to provide updates, gather necessary information, and address any questions or concerns. Prepare, execute, and distribute all deal documents, closing statements, disbursement/commission checks, and other financial documents as needed. Conducting coffee with counsel sessions (no more than 2x month). Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and policies. Collaborating with internal real estate team and clients to ensure successful completion of real estate deals. Addressing legal questions regarding land use and zoning matters, restrictive covenants, and more. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, purchase and sale agreements, easements, developer agreements, and other documents related to real estate transactions. Providing legal counsel on a wide range of real estate transactional matters. Ability and desire to work one-on-one with clients. Effectively interacting with clients and other professionals involved in real estate transactions. Must be efficient and have a keen eye for detail. Knowledge of different loan types and deal closing accuracy. Responsible for approving proper signing parties, proper execution of signing parties, legal description, and title policy type. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends related to real estate transactions. Significant transactional experience is required. Must be Admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia (Florida, South Carolina, or Louisiana). Should have experience in the areas of Residential, Commercial Real Estate, Finance/Banking, and/or Corporate Law. Strong knowledge of real estate law, including property rights, contracts, leases, mortgages, title clearances, and closing procedures, is required. This includes knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to real estate transactions is needed. Experience working on a variety of sophisticated real estate transactions, including secured financings and/or acquisitions/dispositions, is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, G -Suite, Apple Computer, and legal research databases required. Familiar with real estate software Qualia preferred. Possessing a thorough understanding of loan processing and closing procedures is required. Proficient in drafting and reviewing legal documents commonly used in real estate transactions is preferred. This includes contracts, deeds, leases, closing documents, and other legal agreements. Familiarity with conducting due diligence for real estate transactions, striving for accuracy, and pays close attention to detail is needed.
