As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with top clients and help them navigate complex business issues related to state and local taxes. We are looking for a purpose-driven and values-driven leader to help us stay ahead of evolving changes in legislation and administrative policy changes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess state and local tax burden for clients and recommend solutions to support their overall business objectives
- Develop favorable solutions related to income and franchise tax controversies
- Stay ahead of and manage state and local tax burdens for clients
- Identify opportunities resulting from evolving changes in legislation and administrative policy changes
- Coach and develop team members
- Analyze complex ideas and proposals and provide meaningful recommendations
- Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in state and local tax laws and regulations
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials preferred
- Master's degree in Taxation or Political Science preferred
- Thorough knowledge of state and local tax laws, including multi-state income tax planning, compliance, and audit defense
- Technical skills in FAS 109, unitary filing, apportionment methodologies, tax base rules, tax research, compliance, and consulting
- Experience building and maintaining client relationships
- Ability to manage resources, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems and automation and digitization in a professional services environment
- Knowledge of alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies preferred
