Salary information: Salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $120,000, depending on education, experience, and certifications. Additional bonuses and benefits may also be included. Job title: State & Local Tax Manager Experience information: Minimum of 4 years of experience in state and local tax laws and regulations, including income tax planning, compliance, and audit defense. Experience with multi-state jurisdictions and a strong understanding of FAS 109, unitary filing, and tax base rules is preferred. A Master's degree and additional certifications such as CPA or JD/LLM in Taxation are also preferred. Job Summary: The State & Local Tax Manager will work as part of a team at PwC, providing tax advisory services to clients in the areas of state and local tax laws. They will help clients with business restructuring, tax law adoption, and communication of local tax developments. The Manager will also assess clients' state and local tax burden and recommend solutions to support their overall business objectives. This position requires up to 20% travel, and the Manager will work with a team of problem solvers to solve complex tax issues from strategy to execution. They will also have the responsibility of supervising teams and providing feedback to improve and innovate.
