A law firm based in Tempe, AZ, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a strong background in civil litigation, employment law, and insurance defense. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional client service and should exhibit strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and demonstrate the ability to handle a diverse litigation caseload. The successful applicant will work closely with senior attorneys and partners to deliver high-quality legal services.
Duties:
- Manage a portfolio of cases in civil litigation, employment law, and insurance defense from inception through resolution.
- Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys, partners, and shareholders throughout the litigation process.
- Engage in drafting and preparing legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct legal research and provide in-depth analysis of various case-related issues.
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and other necessary proceedings.
- Build and maintain client relationships by providing outstanding service and legal advice.
- Participate in depositions, hearings, trials, and other litigation necessities.
- Develop strategies to effectively manage cases and meet client goals within appropriate time frames.
Requirements:
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be an active member in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
- 2-6 years of experience in civil litigation, employment law, and/or insurance defense.
- Demonstrated ability to handle a full litigation caseload independently.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of building rapport with clients.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active membership and good standing status with the Arizona State Bar.
