A law firm is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong technical or scientific background to join their team in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of patent litigation experience and hold an active membership in the State Bar. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced degrees in life sciences or technical backgrounds, particularly in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or closely related fields. The successful candidate will demonstrate superior writing skills, excellent academic credentials, and the ability to conduct complex legal analyses. They should thrive in a team-oriented environment, communicate effectively with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff, and contribute to the development of strong team relationships.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis related to patent litigation cases.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and staff to gather information and evidence for cases.
• Assist in the development and execution of case strategies and trial preparation.
• Attend and represent the firm at court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on patent litigation matters.
• Stay current with changes in patent law and relevant industry trends.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of patent litigation experience.
• Active membership in the State Bar and compliance with CLE requirements.
• Strong technical or scientific background.
• For life sciences cases, there is a preference for candidates with advanced degrees.
• For technical backgrounds, preference for degrees in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or closely related fields.
• Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
• Ability to conduct complex and detailed analyses of legal matters.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff.
• Enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented environment and contributing to effective team relationships.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
