Job Overview: A law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking an Attorney I with a strong background in legal research, writing, and client communication. The ideal candidate will have experience in mediation and trial and a proactive approach to marketing the firm's services.

Duties:

  • Researching and analyzing the law on complex legal issues.
  • Writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.
  • Marketing personal and firm services to prospective clients.
  • Performing discovery of various electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation.

  • Accurately and completely updating CC with fees, engagement, trust, client information, invoices, etc., as required.
  • Sharing work tasks with other attorneys and support staff if over-subscribed ensures the firm meets objectives to serve communities.
  • Actively engaging in personal and firm brand expansion through blogs, social media posts, board and organization participation, etc.
  • Actively seeking positive comments from successful client engagements and positive star reviews.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent legal research skills.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to WA Bar.
  • 3+ years of experience as an attorney.

Certifications:

  • None specified.
