Responsibilities of this role include working closely with business leaders, legal teams, and the public policy team to advise on global privacy laws and regulations. The Corporate Counsel will also collaborate with various teams within the company to develop innovative new products and services and implement data protection regulations. This position requires a thorough understanding of internet architecture and related technologies, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively explain policies and practices to regulators and customers.

The Privacy Legal team at Amazon oversees and drives all legal privacy initiatives across the company, serving as subject matter experts on all customer-related privacy issues. This team values diversity and inclusivity and is open to hiring candidates in either Arlington, VA or Seattle, WA.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a . and be a member in good standing of at least one state bar. They should also have at least 5 years of legal experience, with a focus on privacy, data protection, or related regulatory matters. Experience directly interacting with privacy and data protection regulators is extremely helpful. The ability to work collaboratively and efficiently as a team player is also essential for this role.
