Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Of Counsel to join its team in Sacramento, CA. The successful candidate will be key in defending and litigating various employment-related claims and agency charges. Additionally, they will counsel employers on various employment and labor law issues, represent clients in court, arbitration, and administrative proceedings, and demonstrate expertise in managing complex litigation cases.

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits encompassing various employment-related claims and agency charges.
  • Advise, counsel, and conduct training for employers on diverse employment and labor law issues.
  • Represent employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediation in various employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
  • Preference for Class Action/ PAGA experience.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • 9+ years of experience in employment litigation with a significant track record of managing and running cases in a first-chair capacity.
  • Current California Bar admission in good standing.
  • Supervisory experience, including delegating assignments and providing feedback to associates and paralegals.
  • In-depth understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.
