The candidate will engage in a variety of legal tasks, including drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and representing clients in trials and hearings.

 

Duties:

  • Serve clients by efficiently evaluating and handling cases
  • Represent the firm in accordance with Core Values
  • Facilitate timely communications with vendors, clients, and outside counsel
  • Build and maintain rapport with clients
  • Create budgets and monitor expenses, recommending cost-saving opportunities
  • Draft and file pleadings
  • Perform discovery requests and factual investigations
  • Conduct legal research as needed
  • Compose routine and dispositive motions
  • Interview clients and witnesses
  • Prepare and conduct depositions
  • Engage in legal writing
  • Participate in trials and hearings
  • Select and retain experts
  • Evaluate cases for potential resolution
  • Supervise paralegal staff
  • Enter billable time accurately
  • Manage team members effectively
  • Update professional knowledge through educational opportunities and Continuing Legal Education (CLE)
  • Maintain productivity in volume of work or billable time
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Handle voluminous paperwork efficiently
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills

 

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the legal industry preferred
  • Active, good standing with the Delaware Bar
  • Admission to the Delaware Bar

 

Education & Certifications:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
