We are looking for an experienced Insurance Tax Manager to join our Financial Services Tax practice and help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business.

**Job Responsibilities:**

- Advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs
- Act as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners
- Help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties
- Provide advice on tax implications of deals
- Navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment
- Help clients with their tax structuring
- Address the challenges of the continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally
- Develop new skills outside of comfort zone
- Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively
- Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations
- Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
- Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making
- Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients
- Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties
- Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

**Job Requirements and Preferences:**

- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- CPA or Member of the Bar
- 4+ years of experience
- Thorough knowledge of the tax issues affecting either the domestic and/or international insurance industries
- Thorough knowledge of public accounting practices, internal domestic insurance tax departments or internal foreign insurance departments
- Comprehensive technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance
- Ability to identify and address client needs, build relationships, communicate value propositions, manage resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections, and prepare/coordinate complex written and verbal materials
- Experience as a team leader: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation, and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback
- Knowledge of automation & digitization in a professional services environment
- Knowledge of alternative fee arrangements, including the use of pricing tools
