Job Overview:

The Family Law Associate Attorney will manage non-complex and complex domestic cases, represent clients in court at trial and mediation, and provide legal counsel on divorce, child custody, child support, and related issues. The ideal candidate should possess strong litigation skills and develop tactful strategies based on versatile client objectives.

Duties:

• Conduct client meetings, including initial consultations.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and court orders in family law matters.
• Develop tactful litigation strategies based on client objectives.
• Negotiate settlement agreements with opposing parties.
• Understand and apply Georgia law, including local court rules, state statutes, and rules of evidence.
• Manage assigned cases from inception to closure.
• Interact and delegate select tasks to assigned support staff.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as an attorney.
• Prior experience of 1-2 years in family law litigation.
• Familiarity with various legal documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build rapport with clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Georgia State Bar.
