Salary Range: $84,980 - $169,650 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Location: 28 office locations across the United States (hybrid work model with in-person work required 2-3 days per week)

Position Summary:

Deloitte is seeking a strategic and experienced Tax Manager to join their Real Estate Services Tax practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and Real Estate Investment Trust qualification rules. The Tax Manager will be responsible for providing federal tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the Real Estate industry sector, working directly with clients, managing the tax engagement team, and utilizing state-of-the-art technology to deliver innovative strategies and solutions.

What You'll Do:

- Provide compliance and consulting services to Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Private Equity Funds, and real estate joint ventures and operating partnerships.
- Assist clients with life events for partnerships, inside and outside basis computations, and Schedule K-1 processing.
- Use proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance processes and ensure worldwide compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships in the real estate industry.
- Advise clients on various tax issues, including REIT Qualification, Tax Reform impact, business restructuring, and tax controversy.
- Oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects using state-of-the-art technology and data analytics.
- Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, including those in the . India office.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Ability to work in a hybrid work model (co-locating in person 2-3 days per week)
- Ability to travel up to 25%, based on work and clients served
- 5+ years of corporate or international tax experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA, JD, or Enrolled Agent certification
- CFA or CFP certification
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (Masters of Tax, JD, LLM)
- Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm
- Experience with . clients and understanding of . tax laws
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills
- Management experience

Compensation and Benefits:

The wage range for this role takes into account various factors, including experience, qualifications, and business needs. The estimated range is $84,980 - $169,650. Deloitte also offers a discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance.
