## Insurance Tax Manager

**Company** is looking for an experienced Insurance Tax Manager to join its Financial Services Tax practice. This role offers the opportunity to help Financial Services clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers to help solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

**Job Responsibilities**

- Develop new skills outside of comfort zone.
- Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively.
- Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.
- Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.
- Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations.
- Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations.
- Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
- Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients.
- Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.
- Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points.
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
- Provide tax advice related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners.
- Assist clients with their tax structuring in a continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally.
- Help clients navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions.

**Job Requirements and Preferences**

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA or Member of the Bar
- 4+ years of experience in public accounting practices, internal domestic insurance tax departments or internal foreign insurance departments
- Thorough knowledge of the tax issues affecting either the domestic and/or international insurance industries
- Comprehensive technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance
- Ability to develop new relationships, make introductions to sell new services and do so with a “One Firm” service mindset
- Preferred familiarity with a CRM system
- Preferred knowledge of automation & digitization in a professional services environment
- Preferred knowledge of alternative fee arrangements, including the use of pricing tools, to provide a point of view on pricing strategies
