## Assistant Attorney General - Civil Division - Cape Girardeau

The Civil Division has openings in various sections, including: Financial Services (recovery of money owed to the state), Consumer Protection, Litigation (civil defense), Labor (workers' compensation), and Governmental Affairs. A description of these sections may be found at: .

The Attorney General's Office offers something for everyone. There are opportunities to gain experience in everything from simple, administrative hearings to multi-week, large scale complex jury trials and arbitrations.

- Courtroom and trial experience
- Handling pre-filing investigation, discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Drafting documents and correspondence
- Resolving claims by settlement
- Administrative practice
- State court familiarity

### Opportunities Offered

### Salary and Eligibility

Candidates should be licensed to practice law in Missouri or eligible for a temporary license (Rule ). Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. EOE.
