The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of Employment Law experience, with trial experience preferred. Experience with public entity defense is a plus. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in employment law matters.
  • Handle employment litigation defense cases, including class and PAGA actions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop case strategies and defense tactics for employment-related disputes.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Advise clients on employment policies, practices, and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess legal risks and provide guidance.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment laws, regulations, and case law.
  • Manage caseload independently and efficiently from inception to resolution.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide exceptional client service.
  • Attend mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in the State Bar of California in good standing.
  • 7+ years of experience in Employment Law.
  • Well-established background in employment litigation defense.
  • Trial experience is preferred.
