A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to focus primarily on consumer and commercial collection matters. The candidate will manage cases from inception to completion, including reviewing court pleadings and attending court hearings.

 

Duties:

  • Handle consumer and commercial collection matters.
  • Manage cases from inception to completion.
  • Review court pleadings and attend court hearings.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Prioritize and manage a large caseload effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with consumer protection statutes, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctorate from accredited institutions.
  • Previous experience in litigation, preferably in collection law.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Florida; multi-jurisdiction admission, including Georgia and/or California, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of consumer protection statutes, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, is preferred.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload effectively.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Juris Doctorate

 

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
