A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney in Raleigh. The Litigation Associate Attorney will assist in representing businesses in various litigation matters including Commercial Litigation, Construction Law, Equipment Leasing & Finance Litigation, Commercial Creditor Bankruptcy, and general Creditors’ Rights. The candidate should have 2-4 years of litigation experience in federal, state, and/or bankruptcy courts, with a strong understanding of the business aspects of managing a law practice.

 

Duties:

  • Assist in representing businesses in litigation matters
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Represent clients in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
  • Manage case files and deadlines
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on litigation matters

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in some of the practice areas: Commercial Litigation, Construction Law, Equipment Leasing & Finance Litigation, Commercial Creditor Bankruptcy, and general Creditors’ Rights
  • Admission to the North Carolina Bar in good standing
  • Strong legal analysis and writing skills
  • Strong courtroom and negotiation skills
  • Dual licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina and/or Virginia preferred

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the North Carolina Bar

 

Skills:

  • Experience in federal, state, and/or bankruptcy courts
  • Understanding of business aspects of managing a law practice
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Strong courtroom advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
