Job Details:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights in criminal matters and draft relevant legal documents for their cases.
  • Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients, providing strategic advice following each hearing.
  • Manage court appearances, trials, and other legal proceedings, including drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and conducting legal research.
  • Analyze probable case outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents.
  • Effectively manage the workload of criminal cases and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Provide in-depth legal analysis to clients, evaluating potential case benefits and risks.
  • Accrue additional evidence to support clients' cases or arguments against prosecution charges.
  • Prepare clients for depositions, determine case strategy goals, and gather information from witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of Criminal Defense Experience.
  • Experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Strong team player open to collaboration with fellow associates.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing membership with the State Bar Association.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to strategize and work effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in English; bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) preferred.
