A law firm in Richmond, VA, is seeking a General Litigation Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of litigation experience to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent academic and professional credentials, superior research and writing ability, and strong analytical and communication skills. The General Litigation Associate Attorney will have significant responsibility for the day-to-day management of cases, requiring strong organizational skills to handle multiple cases and meet competing deadlines. While clerkship experience is preferred, experience in class action and consumer financial services litigation is a valuable asset. The candidate must be a member in good standing of the Virginia Bar and admitted to practice in the . District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Duties:

• Manage and oversee day-to-day activities related to litigation cases.
• Conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and assist in trial preparation.
• Develop and maintain effective client relationships through regular communication and updates.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to provide comprehensive legal services.
• Draft legal pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to litigation practice.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of litigation experience.
• Excellent academic and professional credentials.
• Superior research and writing ability.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Organized with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines.
• Preferred clerkship experience.
• Experience in class action and consumer financial services litigation is a plus.
• Membership in good standing with the Virginia Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
