Position Summary

- Seeking a sharp, analytical Senior Tax Manager to join Deloitte's Business Tax Services practice in the Central Region Office Locations.
- Responsible for building new client relationships and growing an already successful federal tax practice.
- Combines tax consulting solutions and innovative technology to align tax function with business objectives.
- Recruiting for this role ends on June 1, 2025.

What You'll Do

- Identify effective tax solutions for new and existing clients in various industry sectors.
- Work directly with clients and have access to an elite group of specialists.
- Connect with firm leadership for support and success in your role and career.
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships on various federal tax consulting and compliance engagements.
- Identify client needs and leverage Deloitte's range of services and resources.
- Act as a trusted business advisor on issues such as federal tax planning, accounting for income taxes, tax provisions, and tax compliance.
- Manage engagement profitability, billings, and team resources.
- Assist with drafting and presenting proposals to new and existing clients.
- Provide leadership and guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team.

- Dynamic team with professionals of varying backgrounds.
- Provides expertise to clients in integrating tax strategy into business operations.
- Assists with global tax challenges and transforms tax departments for greater impact and efficiency.
- Relevant for both public and private companies.

Qualifications

Required

- Ability to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Active accreditation such as CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications in CFA or CFP.
- Ability to travel up to 25% for work.

Preferred

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM.
- Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm.
- Proven ability to grow and manage a book of business.
- Solid management experience.
- Experience working in a virtual or global environment.
- Passion for leveraging technology.
- Experience with ASC740.
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Salary Range and Benefits

- Salary range takes into account various factors, such as skill sets, experience, and certifications.
- Estimate of current range is $119,490 - $238,680.
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program.
