The estimated salary range for this role is $95,900 to $203,060, with the potential for additional bonuses and incentives based on individual and organizational performance. Position Summary As a State Income and Franchise Tax Manager within Deloitte's Multistate Tax Services group, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base in various industries, providing tax consulting and compliance services. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex state tax issues. Responsibilities - Maintain and develop strong client relationships on various tax consulting and compliance engagements - Advise clients on multistate tax planning, accounting for income taxes, restructuring, audit defense, and due diligence - Oversee complex state tax compliance and consulting projects for various entities and their affiliates - Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues including apportionment methodology, unitary filings, and nexus considerations - Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing - Provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team The Team Deloitte's Multistate Tax Services group is the largest State and Local Tax (SALT) practice in the United States, with over 1,000 professionals nationwide. Our team includes former state tax auditors and administrators, industry personnel, tax practitioners, accounting specialists, and technology personnel with extensive multistate tax experience. We offer a range of services including state income and franchise tax, indirect tax, business restructuring, credits and incentives, sales and use tax outsourcing, excise tax, property tax, state strategic tax review, and state tax controversy. Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years of experience in state income and franchise tax - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field - CPA, attorney, or enrolled agent license - Ability to travel up to 10% based on client needs and industry sectors served Preferred Qualifications - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM - Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience - Strong research and writing skills - Excellent presentation and communication skills - Solid understanding and experience with state tax compliance, planning, analysis, and research - Management experience Salary and Benefits The salary range for this role is $95,900 to $203,060, and may vary based on individual qualifications and experience.
