A law firm in Durham is seeking a Patent Agent specializing in Electrical/Computer Science Technologies with at least 2 years of patent drafting and prosecution experience. The ideal candidate will draft and prosecute patent applications, develop global IP strategies, and provide strategic counseling to clients.

Job Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in Electrical/Computer Science Technologies
• Collaborate with the D&M team and in-house teams to develop and execute global IP strategies
• Draft opinions of counsel on patent matters
• Conduct due diligence investigations and perform freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses
• Provide strategic counseling to clients through client-facing interactions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related fields of study
• At least 2 years of patent drafting and prosecution experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Certifications:
