The Associate Attorney will play a pivotal role in providing legal representation to clients across various areas of law, including personal injury, premises liability, sexual abuse, civil rights, and more. This position involves conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and representing clients in court proceedings.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to provide comprehensive legal advice and representation to clients.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents for court proceedings.
  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and trials to advocate for their interests effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their legal needs and develop strategic solutions.
  • Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel, judges, and other parties to reach favorable settlements.
  • Manage a caseload of complex legal matters and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations in California relevant to the practice areas.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of previous experience litigating on behalf of plaintiffs in areas such as personal injury, premises liability, product liability, sexual abuse, civil rights, etc.
  • Strong understanding of California laws and regulations pertaining to the practice areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Admission to the California Bar.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the California Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective legal strategies.
