A law firm in Burbank, CA is seeking a Senior Attorney with at least 5 years of experience to handle a heavy caseload, work independently, and provide representation to clients in and out of court. The ideal candidate must possess solid trial experience and be willing to mentor newer associates.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a heavy caseload and zealously represent clients in court.
  • Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, mediations, and arbitration hearings.
  • Conduct legal research and draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.
  • Attend court hearings on behalf of clients and argue motions.
  • Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals.
  • Resolve or prevent conflicts with exceptional time management and interpersonal skills.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working as a senior associate attorney.
  • Trial, mediation, and arbitration representation experience.
  • Membership in State and local Bar associations in good standing.

 

Education/Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in California.

 

Skills:

  • Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong trial experience and ability to mentor junior associates.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
