A law firm in Baton Rogue is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel to join their team. The ideal candidate will contribute to building the existing practice, engage in significant client interaction, and aspire to a leadership role in the long term. This position requires a Juris Doctorate or better in Law, with a focus on estate planning.

Job Overview:

• Actively participate in expanding the firm's tax practice.
• Engage in substantial client interaction, providing high-quality legal services.
• Demonstrate potential for assuming leadership responsibilities within the firm.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to tax matters, particularly estate planning.
• Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, and estate plans.
• Provide counsel to clients on tax planning strategies and compliance issues.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff on complex cases and projects.
• Represent clients in tax-related proceedings before administrative agencies or courts, if necessary.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate or better in Law.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
