Introduction

Amazon is seeking a talented Legal Risk Manager to join our Global Risk Management Claims team. This role will focus on supporting our rapidly growing and evolving corporate auto program. The ideal candidate will have a and at least 5 years of experience in transportation claims. They should also have a strong understanding of the litigation process and be an active member of at least one state bar. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced attorney to lead strategy on complex auto claims and help develop programs and tools to contain costs and maintain successful relationships with third-party administrators (TPAs).

Key Responsibilities

- Lead strategy on complex, high value claims
- Develop action plans for claims in collaboration with internal/external legal partners, TPAs, and insurance companies
- Attend mediations with internal/external legal partners, insurance companies, and TPAs
- Address and resolve ongoing questions and issues from business partners throughout the claims resolution process
- Partner with internal teams to innovate processes and strategies for greater efficiency

Location and Compensation

We are open to hiring candidates in any of the following locations: Arlington, VA, New York, NY, or Seattle, WA. Our compensation is based on the cost of labor in each geographic market. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,900/year in our lowest market up to $185,000/year in our highest market. Pay is determined by factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company and may offer additional forms of compensation, such as equity and sign-on payments, as part of the total compensation package. Qualifications
