The State Credits & Incentives Senior Manager/Director position at Eide Bailly is a full-time, remote eligible position. This position offers a salary range of $140,000 - $240,000 and requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Master’s or . and . in Taxation preferred) and 9+ years of credits and incentives consulting experience. A valid CPA license is also preferred. The Senior Manager/Director will be responsible for building a State and Local Credits and Incentives Tax practice supported by the firm’s National Tax Office. They will also work on behalf of clients to identify, negotiate, and implement state and local tax incentives across the United States. The Senior Manager/Director will also develop and mentor existing tax staff and recruit experienced staff to build a world-class practice. They will also attend industry association meetings and conferences as a marketer and presenter to build a market presence. Other duties include managing multiple projects simultaneously, writing internal and external communications, conducting research, and serving as a resource and expert for the firm.

What You'll Do:

- Build and manage a State and Local Credits and Incentives Tax practice
- Work with the firm’s National Tax Office and other resources to offer comprehensive services to clients
- Develop and mentor existing tax staff and recruit experienced staff
- Attend and present at industry association meetings and conferences
- Lead internal educational sessions to increase awareness of state and local tax incentives
- Write internal and external communications on tax-related topics
- Conduct research to maintain and expand knowledge base
- Manage client relationships and provide value-added service
- Collaborate with internal client relationship executives and business development executives
- Use personal and professional experiences to develop business and practice service lines
- Supervise and delegate duties to junior management and staff
- Provide mentoring and technical training for employees in the State and Local Credits and Incentives practice and other members of the firm’s SALT Team

Who You Are:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; Master’s or . and . in Taxation preferred
- 9+ years of credits and incentives consulting experience required
- Valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
- Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles, IRS regulations, and state and local tax incentives
- Skilled in networking and developing business
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office
