A law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Wilmington. The successful candidate will play an active role in handling complex commercial disputes in Delaware business courts and other venues across the United States. They should possess excellent academic credentials, superior research, writing, and communication skills, and be organized and self-motivated. Experience in various phases of the litigation process, including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and appeals, is essential.

 

Duties:

  • Actively participate in complex commercial disputes in Delaware business courts and other . venues.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Manage all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, arbitration, trial, and appeals.
  • Provide legal analysis and strategic advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and client meetings as required.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Assist in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.

 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of litigation experience.
  • Excellent academic background.
  • Superior research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated.
  • Experience handling various phases of the litigation process.
  • Arbitration and/or trial experience is beneficial.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Delaware; additional licenses in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York are a plus.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree.
  • License to practice law in Delaware (required).
