A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Intake Attorney to report to the Supervising Intake Attorney and manage caseloads, client interactions, and collaborate with the Immigration Team. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills, experience in immigration law, and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

 

Duties:

  • Report to the Supervising Intake Attorney and manage caseloads and client interactions.
  • Monitor the firm's case management software for live cases to vet.
  • Review intake sheets and documents from potential clients.
  • Identify potential immigration relief for potential clients.
  • Suggest legal strategies and proposed services for potential clients.
  • Speak to existing clients regarding potential services outside of their current contract.
  • Answer legal questions or explain legal processes to potential and existing clients.
  • Communicate with and provide feedback to the sales team meeting with potential clients.
  • Oversee intake paralegals and virtual assistants.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of Immigration Law Experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (preferred).
  • Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber.
  • Record of moving legal cases forward and ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage caseload effectively.
  • Familiarity with immigration law procedures and processes.
  • Proficiency in case management software.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (preferred).
