A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney specializing in Estate Planning in Seattle, WA.

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and editing estate planning documents, advising clients on estate planning matters, and representing clients in Probate matters. They must remain current on relevant laws and regulations, manage client relationships, and collaborate with co-counsel.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and edit estate planning documents
  • Create estate plans (both taxable and non-taxable) and advise clients through the execution of necessary documentation
  • Strategically counsel clients and potential clients on estate planning matters
  • Represent clients in Probate matters as necessary
  • Identify legal issues and develop new approaches to resolve complex issues
  • Remain current on federal and state laws, regulations, and practices affecting estate planning
  • Manage client relationships and collaborate with co-counsel

Requirements:

  • JD or LLM
  • License to practice law in Washington State
  • Passed a Bar Examination
  • 3-5 years of estate planning experience at a law firm

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent business judgment and high level of professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are a must.
