Amazon is seeking a talented commercial real estate lawyer to join our Legal Department as a Corporate Counsel for Real Estate, supporting our rapidly growing business, Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a leader in the "cloud" computing and service industry, AWS offers IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, and database services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of AWS's worldwide data center expansion by managing land acquisitions and leasing agreements.

To be considered for this position, you must have a Juris Doctor degree and be a member of one state bar or equivalent. Additionally, you should have at least 5 years of legal experience and experience drafting and negotiating various real estate transactional documents, including leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements, and development agreements. As a member of the AWS real estate legal team, you will have a range of responsibilities, from transactional drafting and negotiating to providing legal counsel and contract interpretation to business team members on a daily basis.

We are looking for someone who can work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, with strong analytical, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interact with clients effectively. You should also have strong organizational and project management skills. This position offers a competitive salary based on experience, including equity compensation, and is located in either Arlington, VA or Seattle, WA.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets and ranges from $123,100/year to $229,000/year. This pay is based on factors such as market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
