A law firm based in Denver, CO, is seeking a Data Privacy Associate Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of consumer and employee privacy experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel on various data privacy matters, including compliance projects, drafting privacy policies and notices, advising on data protection agreements, consumer consent workflows, technical website/app issues, and conducting data protection impact assessments. Expertise in employee and consumer privacy laws and regulations, experience in data breach and incident response, and litigation/regulatory enforcement actions is highly desirable. The candidate should possess the IAPP's Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designation in at least one category and demonstrate excellent academic credentials, strong writing, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on data privacy compliance projects
  • Draft privacy policies and notices
  • Draft or advise on data protection agreements
  • Conduct data mapping exercises
  • Advise on consumer consent workflows
  • Address technical website/app and digital marketing issues (., cookies, pixels, targeted ads, global privacy controls, dark patterns)
  • Assist clients in conducting data protection impact assessments
  • Respond to data subject requests
  • Handle data breach and incident response and reporting
  • Assist in consumer privacy litigation and regulatory enforcement actions

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of consumer and employee privacy experience
  • Expertise in employee and consumer privacy laws and regulations (state, federal, and/or international)
  • Experience in data breach and incident response and reporting
  • Experience in consumer privacy litigation and regulatory enforcement actions preferred
  • IAPP's Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designation in at least one category
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:
