A law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join their team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a significant caseload, handling various litigation matters, and demonstrating expertise in legal research and analysis. The successful candidate will have a focus on defense in premises liability and product liability cases, with additional experience in automotive liability, property management, and/or commercial litigation considered a plus.

Job Details:

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a substantial caseload of litigation matters.
  • Draft, prepare, and handle pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda.
  • Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.
  • Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency.
  • Prepare and take depositions of parties and experts.
  • Review client documents, draft case evaluations, and status report correspondence.
  • Assist with and participate in mediations and court appearances.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in the defense of premises liability and product liability.
  • Experience in automotive liability, property management, and/or commercial litigation is a plus.
  • Must be licensed to practice in Georgia state and federal courts.
  • Additional state admissions are a plus.
  • Manage multiple case files successfully in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrate strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to move from case to case efficiently.
  • Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Active license to practice law in Georgia.

Skills:

  • Litigation experience.
  • Legal research and analytical skills.
