Job Overview:

• Participate immediately in the litigation process, including court hearings and depositions.
• Maintain a high-volume office practice, including file analysis and written work product.
• Engage in all facets of litigation, including case analysis, research, drafting motions, and trial preparation.
• Demonstrate exceptional research and writing skills and maintain a high academic record.

Duties:

• Participate in court hearings, depositions, and other litigation proceedings.
• Conduct case analysis and develop litigation strategies.
• Research and address unique and complex legal issues.
• Draft and respond to written discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft and argue significant motions, including dispositive motions.
• Participate in mediations and arbitrations.
• Prepare cases for trial.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of comparable experience in litigation.
• Outstanding research and writing skills.
• High academic record from a reputable law school.
• Admission to the Bar of Vermont or eligibility for admission via waiver or examination.

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar of Vermont.
