Responsibilities:

- Direct multinational enterprises on business decisions, such as location, entity choice, and supply chain optimization.
- Advise clients on tax planning decisions, considering global tax risk profile, effective tax rate, and cash posture.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Mergers & Acquisitions Tax to structure tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and IPOs.
- Assist with tax provision for financial statements and compliance work.
- Advise on income tax treaty planning opportunities.
- Provide tax services to alternative investment companies throughout the investment life cycle.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of three years of experience in international, mergers and acquisitions, and/or federal tax planning.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Taxation, JD, and/or LLM preferred.
- Strong knowledge of international and domestic tax law provisions.
- Excellent research and writing skills, as well as proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to balance and lead multiple engagements, supervise and assist with development of staff, and maintain professionalism.
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues.

Salary Information:

KPMG complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. The salary range for this role in California is $65,500 - $132,100. Salary is determined based on relevant factors such as skills, job responsibilities, prior experience, and market considerations. KPMG also offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including medical and dental plans, disability and life insurance, and personal well-being benefits.
