Job Overview:

The Lateral Class Actions Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for researching and drafting motions and briefs, actively participating in all discovery phases, and effectively managing cases and client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess 2-6 years of experience with a strong focus on state and federal class action practice, coupled with a broader background in commercial litigation. District court or appellate court clerkship experience is preferred.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to class action matters
  • Draft and prepare motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Actively participate in discovery processes, including document production and depositions
  • Manage client relationships and provide strategic legal advice
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and litigation planning
  • Stay abreast of legal developments and trends in class action law

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission
  • 2-6 years of relevant legal experience in class action and commercial litigation
  • Strong interest in and/or prior exposure to state and federal class action practice
  • District court or appellate court clerkship experience preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission
