A law firm based in Palo Alto is seeking a dynamic Healthcare Associate Attorney with a strong interest in technology's role in healthcare and a passion for leveraging innovation to shape the future of the industry. The successful candidate will focus exclusively on digital health, representing startups and founder-led companies at all stages, from pre-formation to capital markets.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance to digital health startups and founder-led companies.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance issues related to healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the formation and structuring of digital health companies, including entity formation and governance matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including vendor contracts, licensing agreements, and partnership agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews for corporate transactions and investments in digital health companies.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and developments in digital health regulations and technology.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar and eligibility to practice law.
  • 3-7 years of experience in healthcare law with a focus on regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Experience advising on the corporate practice of medicine and related legal issues.
  • Demonstrated interest in technology's impact on healthcare and a desire to work exclusively in digital health.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
